Modifications After a Change in Your Life
If you need to seek a child support modification or a change in your custody, visitation or alimony agreement, we can help. Situations change and people get new jobs, move to new locations, children grow older and parents re-marry. These changes can affect both custody and support. For example, in Texas a child age 12 or older can state their custodial preference; or, one parent may struggle for years to pay a child support payment that was based on an income they no longer make.

Unless the court order is modified, you still owe the money, even if you do not have the means to pay it. The obligation will continue to accumulate as long as you are not in compliance with the court order.
